Chaise sofas are key when it comes to extreme comfort. They are one of the few sofa styles that actually invite you to put your feet up, and we couldn’t love that more about them!

Their name traditionally oozes French luxury, but you don’t have to travel to France to find elegant and charming furniture such as this. We have 8 styles of chaise sofas so we know a thing or two about using them in your home. That’s why we’ve put together a helpful buyer’s guide below:

Choose Your Perfect Style

The style and design of your chaise sofa is surely top of the checklist. It will take up a fairly large area in your home so it helps if its in keeping with your existing furniture and decor. We have varying styles to suit all spaces, tastes, and interiors.

There is the Bluebell chaise and Otto chaise, which you could say are more traditional in their appeal. The Bluebell chaise sits neatly atop hand carved wooden legs with castors, with plump and back seat cushions to nestle into. And the Otto has a classic, elegant skirt lining its base with flared arms that contain state of the art, comfy cushions.

Choose the Right Size

Most of our chaise sofas come in small, medium or large sizes to suit the dimensions of your space. Plus the chaise unit can sit on either the left or the right hand side of your sofa. Take the Aissa chaise; a spectacularly comfortable and neatly designed chaise, which is available in small, medium and large, left and right hand chaise. The Aissa is great for smaller spaces because of its compact frame.

Choose From Our Range of Fabulous Fabrics

We have over 100 fabulous fabrics to choose from, for upholstery, in our house range. From pure Belgian linens and crushed Florentine velvets, to recycled wools; there’s something to suit all tastes and needs. The majority of our fabrics upholster really well on our chaise sofas, just steer clear of the lightweight linens as these are a tad too thin and lightweight for items of this size.

Pictured, is the Izzy chaise in Olive, pure cotton matt velvet. Bright, bold colours such as these are great if you’re looking to make an impact in your space, especially on some of our more contemporary styles such as the Izzy with its straight-edged frame and structured arms allowing the fabric to do all the talking!

We can also upholster your chaise in a designer fabric of your choice. This month you’re in luck, as we’re offering beautiful fabrics by Designers Guild, Colefax & Fowler, Romo, and Korla for the same price as selected house fabrics if you order by the 30th April. We have a whole host of designer fabric books in our showrooms for you to peruse.

Accessorize Your Chaise

To put the finishing touches to your chaise sofa accessorise with scatter cushions and footstools. Scatter cushions are a quick and easy way to add colour or pattern to your chaise, and we have a specially curated selection to choose from.

Our glorious range have been designed to complement all our sofa and chaise styles. From our silk ikats, which possess both contemporary patterns and bright colours; plus tonnes of charm, to our simple and sumptuous velvet Tivoli cushions – there’s lots of styles to get creative with!

And then we have our range of footstools, which are a great addition to prop up tired legs at the end of your sofa! They’re both a comfortable and practical accessory; adding an extra spot to perch on in your living space.
